The project consists of a series of short videos in which a group of artists are invited to read an image previously chosen by themselves. The image does not belong to their work or to their productions, but it is "any" image of the world. Through a different format from the traditional writing, another type of writing is proposed by presenting the image and making the reading and analysis in the voice and thought of each artist.
a voice / an image arises from the desire to expand and explore different formats for the analysis of nowadays images. The video format allows us to stop on the surface of the image and travel, and interact with it from the sound and visual elements. It also makes us to dive into the voice, which is a distinctive and unique seal of each person.
This project seeks to involve artists even more in the reflection on the images that surround us and share their readings with a wide audience. Give analysis tools and make them more accessible to countless “readers of images”, through a flexible format that works like a device.
What interests us about these artists is that they work from reflections and analysis of the images, although their works in the end acquire various forms many times not recognizable from reading and initial reflection. The interest of this work is to recover and offer the viewer a reading device that many times occurs in the private space of work but that charges much more meaning when shared and offered to the public.
Another highlight of this project is that it might also entail forming a file that could become the heritage of the museum.
